Near our house is the sweetest little pumpkin patch complete with hay rides and hay stacks and cute little animals. It's a harvest heaven that I wish we would have discovered years ago.
Last year, we began the tradition of visiting this farm rather than buying our pumpkins at the local grocery store, and I'm so glad we did. It's a thrill to head out in the fall chill, just before dusk and kick up dust in search of the perfect gourd.
This year was particularly awesome as Jack ran from pumpkin to pumpkin, attempting to pick up the big ones ("Ooo! So hebby!") and chucking the small ones into the wheelbarrow.
It's just another thing that makes me savor my short life and soak up the goodness of just being with my two handsome boys. That's what life is all about, isn't it? Making memories filled with laughter and copious amounts of love.
